His Excellency, Abdulla Hasan Saif is the advisor for economic affairs to His Highness, The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Prior to his current appointment, His Excellency served as the Minister of Finance & National Economy. From 1981 to 2005, he also held positions in several organisations, including the Bahrain Monetary Agency (as Governor), The International Monetary Fund & the World Bank, The Arab Monetary Fund, the Islamic Development Bank and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. He was also the Acting Executive Director for the Bahrain Economic Development Board.

His Excellency was also a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Bahrain as well as a board member of the Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. In 2002, he received an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from the University of DePaul, Chicago.
